Donate and make a difference

Gippsland Community Foundation is funded through public donations, project partnerships, government programs, and philanthropic giving. Both individual and corporate donations are vital to creating more just and sustainable local communities. No matter the size, every contribution helps break the cycles of disadvantage in Gippsland and surrounding areas.

Donations up to $500 are considered general donations for community projects, while larger donations can be directed to a specific region, need, or project, as per the donor’s wishes. The Foundation also offers a funding administration service for community organisations, agencies, and governments, providing impartial, legally-sound fund distribution for a modest service fee that covers operational costs.

Through our partnership with the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR), individual donations are tax-deductible. Corporate donations can be made directly to the Foundation. Gippsland Community Foundation is seeking Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status from the ATO.

Donations are held in a Trust, generating annual grants that directly benefit Gippsland communities. Your contribution stays local, supporting long-term impact.

Leave a bequest

A bequest is a gift made in your will, such as cash, property, or investments. To make a bequest, contact us to discuss the details, and consult your solicitor for guidance.

Your bequest, of any size, will help shape a better future for Gippsland and strengthen the community. Gifts can be made during your lifetime, over time, or as a bequest, with lifetime donations being tax-deductible. Bequests are often named in honour of individuals or families, creating lasting legacies.

Workplace Giving

Our workplace giving program helps businesses achieve corporate social responsibility goals by supporting Gippsland communities. Employees can donate as little as $5 per day through payroll deductions, with immediate tax benefits.

Donations are taken from pre-tax salaries, and details appear in the annual payment summary. Businesses can also contribute through fundraising, event sponsorships, in-kind donations, or coin donation boxes. Contact us to get involved.
